Inspiration

If micro weddings filled to the brim with love, foliage walls, incredible lighting, Irish-Ghanaian nods and smoke flares at Lains Barn are your thing, we've got some excellent news. Claudia & Paddy's incredible wedding will be right up your street. This gorgeous couple wanted to bring in aspects of nature as well as represent their Irish and Ghanaian heritage. They did this with their foliage wall, floral arrangements, the burnt orange bridesmaid dresses for Ireland, and the printed hand fan favours and drummers for Ghana. When we say we love subtle yet effective gestures in wedding decor and style - this is what we mean! Recommended supplier Lee Daniels Photography captured these nuances as well as the electric energy of the day flawlessly. Another way to add elegant details to your theme? Through your stationery, of course! And for that - you need the perfect supplier. Claudia & Paddy clearly got the memo by picking Recommended supplier Bewilderly

Lains Barn wedding with orange bridesmaid dresses and incredible smoke flares

Our day was a 'micro wedding', as we had just emerged out of the pandemic. We originally planned to get married in 2020, but moved our date and decided to go ahead with reduced numbers. It was even more special than we could have imagined. We had a selection of our best friends and close family to attend the day and celebrate with us. It was intimate - and so, so joyous. We had a bigger reception the following year which was the most wonderful celebration!

Lains Barn

Nestled in the captivating countryside of Oxfordshire lies the exquisite Lains Barn. This is a venue that exudes charm and offers a picture-perfect setting for weddings. With its rich historical heritage and breathtaking natural surroundings, Lains Barn presents an unparalleled experience. Claudia & Paddy wanted their foliage and flower arrangements to stand out in order to symbolise their love of nature - and this barn was a perfect choice to do just that. The rustic barn, adorned with wooden beams and spacious interiors, sets the stage for brighter florals to pop. Not only that - their lighting choices, including neon signs, fairy lights and festoon lighting, created the most warm, inviting atmosphere. Whether it's an outdoor ceremony in the serene gardens or a relaxed gathering in the barn, Lains Barn offers a truly remarkable experience.

Irish-Ghanaian fusion wedding

Ghanaian weddings are exuberant occasions that beautifully display the diverse cultural heritage of Ghana. They are positively bursting with rhythmic music, energetic dances and stunning traditional garment that foster a sense of unity among families. Highlighting their heritages and cultures was very important to Claudia & Paddy. In order to pay tribute to Ghanaian culture, the couple chose Ghanaian print hand fan favors, and live music in the form of drummers. The energy that was brought to the table through this was unmatched - and that is made clear in each and every photo. Wanting to make nods toward Paddy's Irish heritage, the couple decided to go for green foliage, white flowers and burnt orange bridesmaid dresses. Luckily for them, it's a stunning and trendy colour choice as well as culturally significant!

That sweetheart neckline wedding dress is just... chef's kiss

We had a lot of favourite moments. Walking into the dining room and seeing how beautifully it was dressed with the flower/foliage wall, candles, fairy lights.... That was truly magical! We were lost for words. Our vision came to life. As for advice - take your time. Don't rush it if you can avoid it. Support local where possible! And try not to fret if things don't go exactly as planned. You will have the best day!
