Inspiration

Jess & Toby were attending 10 other weddings the year they were to have their Ramster Hall wedding! We want to know how this couple manage their schedules because we are in awe of their time management skills. Naturally, Jess & Toby wanted to make sure their wedding was personal to them to stand out from all the other weddings! We’re not biased or anything, but if it was a competition we think Jess & Toby would win! The couple had personal readings, music, a brownie wedding cake tower and so much more you’ll have to scroll to see! Recommended Supplier, Matt Penberthy Photography, captured the whole day! There’s no wonder that Jess is the epitome of the radiant bride with her hair and makeup done by Recommended Supplier, Catherine Bailey. The couple chose Recommended Supplier, Shropshire Petals, for their confetti too! Jess also got her shoes from Recommended Supplier, Rainbow Club!

We asked our friends and family to read poems and prayers and included some of our favourite songs to make our ceremony more personal. We had an excellent rendition of I Want To Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston, courtesy of our sublime singing harpist! Of course, the drunken dancefloor singalong to Mr Brightside by The Killers was another. Is any British wedding complete without it?

Ramster Hall Wedding

Ramster Hall wedding venue is local to Jess & Toby and was their first choice because of its homely and cosy feel, which was perfect for an autumn wedding! Jess & Toby found all their suppliers from the venue's recommendations and found comfort in the fact that all these suppliers have worked in this wedding venue before. The couple could just enjoy their day and have complete trust in their supplier's talent! Ramster Hall has classic period features and plenty of twinkling fairy lights to set the tone for that autumnal aesthetic. The style of the wedding day made use of a lot of traditional British styling with some modern twists. Matt Penberthy Photography was a great choice for the couple because they fell in love with his artistic yet timeless style!

Church Wedding Ceremony

Jess & Toby's favourite part of their Ramster Hall wedding has to be the church service! When they finally tied the knot (after Covid had forced the couple to postpone for a year) they wanted to make their traditional ceremony feel more personal and modern. Friends and family members read poems and prayers, and all the wedding music included Jess & Toby's favourite songs! Jess & Toby attended 10 other weddings in the same year they married, so they wanted to make theirs all about them! Another highlight is the wedding newspaper! Jess is an editor so this was perfect! They had a chocoholic's dream wedding cake, which was actually a tower of different flavoured brownies including peanut butter and Ferrero Rocher! We'll take a plate of peanut butter brownies, please!

Chocolate lover? Then a brownie wedding cake tower is the way to go!

Firstly, set up a separate wedding email address to keep all our 'wedmin' in one place. Creating a 'to do' timetable to break down the overwhelming bigger picture into bitesize tasks also helped us feel more in control and kept things moving. Otherwise, go with your gut when making decisions, you'll know when something feels right. This will mean your personalities will shine through in everything from the decorations to the cake. On the day, remember to take a breather just the two of you, even if only for five minutes. Soak it all in; it goes far too quickly!

Jess & Toby

Jess & Toby finished their Ramster Hall wedding in true style to Mr Brightside by The Killers. If you want some more inspiration, here are 99 more last dance songs! Are you having an autumn wedding?
