Inspiration

This is a wedding that really needs no introduction but we’ll give you a little rundown of this epic wedding day at Recommended Venue, The Giraffe Shed. With a confetti exit to end all confetti exits, stunning golden hour portraits, and fun group wedding party pics, there’s no doubt this wedding will be all over our Pinterest. It’s literally picture-perfect! Ruth & Aiden stuck to their budget of 15k and had such an incredible day with so many DIY details. The signage, placenames, guestbook, and even the DJ booth were all DIY’d by the couple and their family and friends.

The Giraffe Shed wedding with epic confetti exit and DIY decor and flowers

At The Giraffe Shed, we had the freedom to create the wedding of our dreams, just the way we wanted it. We could put our own spin on ‘traditions’ whilst still feeling like us! Our incredible venue was so unique in itself!

Ruth & Aiden

Epic Confetti Moment at The Giraffe Shed

Ruth & Aiden’s wedding was all about the party vibes with plenty of fun, confetti, pizza, and all the best people. For styling, the couple kept things pretty simple. Ruth & Aiden had a budget of under 15k and because The Giraffe Shed has more of an industrial vibe, it didn’t need lots of styling because it speaks for itself. With a pink wedding theme, all the stationery was designed by one of the bridesmaids and the signage was made by Ruth’s mum. 68 clay place names were handmade by Ruth and another bridesmaid AND all the flowers were supplied and put together by Ruth and her bridesmaids! As well as all this, the couple had a DIY photo booth guest book that they now have up in their house. Aww!

Disco Party Wedding

The first dance was Ruth & Aiden’s favourite moment of their day. The couple danced to Blinding Lights by The Weeknd. The reason it was their fave moment is because it was something they dreaded the most and nearly cancelled multiple times! With insanely beautiful weather for the best golden hour portraits and epic group photos. The couple made a grand entrance into their reception as Music For A Sushi Restaurant by Harry Styles played. The whole vibe was perfect to get ready for the party. Another DIY project this couple did was to make their own DJ booth! They didn’t actually have a DJ but it was filled with a cardboard cutout of a guest who couldn’t make it on the day.

What makes a wedding is the party! What better way to show your love than dancing with everyone all night long?

Take time to chill and breathe! Anything you are stressing about does not matter. All that matters is you and your partner and doing what makes you both happy! The day will be perfect no matter what!
