What's better than The Zetter (Townhouse)? When a wedding is held there - not much, that's what. Laura & Ian's gorgeous autumnal wedding has us all swooning. The couple decided on an intimate ceremony followed by a bigger party afterwards - going from hearty to party in a matter of hours. Recommended supplier Mark Horton Photos masterfully captured the warm, inviting colour scheme, incredible florals, and general love-filled vibe of the day. Recommended supplier Makeup By Juancy ensured that Laura's stunning look remained intact all day, throughout the ceremony and dancing into the night.

Awe-inspiring autumnal wedding at The Zetter Townhouse

Autumn city vibes prevailed and I took the colour scheme from the season - oranges, reds and greens. As we had an intimate ceremony and wedding breakfast, I knew I wanted my bridesmaids to be in different dresses and styles that suited them, but chose velvet as the base. The mismatched dresses looked stunning at our intimate wedding. Remember that your fiance/fiancee is the most important person there and you need to plan a day that will make you both happy, rather than everyone else. My family and good friends understood our desire for a small ceremony and very much felt part of the whole wedding day, even if they missed the vows themselves.

The Zetter Townhouse is such a unique and intimate venue with rich reds and eclectic décor. We love museums and galleries and felt that the vibe at Zetter emulated that of our favourite galleries. As we had a small ceremony late afternoon and then a larger party starting, early evening, we wanted a venue that offered a consistent tone and feel throughout the day. My dress also shone at this venue. It was really special wearing my mother's gown. During alterations I loved it, but it still felt like I was wearing my mum's dress. On the day, it all came together and felt like it was completely mine.

An autumnal wedding to cosy up to, even in the winter

The pandemic introduced micro weddings and we really liked the idea of spending meaningful time with guests. However, we have a lot of loved ones, so settled for an intimate late afternoon ceremony and wedding breakfast, followed by a larger party. The Zetter Townhouse has beautiful rooms, taxidermy(!) and truly excellent cocktails in one of our favourite parts of London, so was the perfect space for full private hire.
