Inspiration

Looking for a little vow renewal inspiration? Well, you’ve come to the right place (of course). This beautiful shoot (from recommended supplier Becky Harley Photography), features a wilderness safari theme that will leave you feeling as though you’ve just stepped off the plane. Complete with a muted colour palette accentuated by the botanical florals and accents of black, each aspect is perfectly picturesque. Not only that, the venue Horsley Hale Farm puts sustainability at the heart of everything they do - now that, we love! Oh, and of course, how adorable is Hattie? We’re actually quite jealous of that gorgeous little up-do surrounded by flowers. If you need us, we’ll be recreating that look…

Vow renewal complete with wilderness safari theme and botanical florals

With a focus on recycled and sustainable materials throughout the styling, we felt a vow renewal perfectly matched. We showcased some alternative bridal outfits and grooms-wear, whilst keeping the traditional elements of an intimate Wedding Day.

FLORALS

Lots of textures and foliage, succulents and a pop of colour. We used ferns and tropical elements such as Monstera leaves to incorporate the safari feel. The larger floral pieces were used for the ceremony space, the jetty and the safari lodge. The bridal bouquet was packed full of texture and berry toned flowers. Including; Sedum, Clematis, Anstrantia and Antirrhinum, with peach Roses and some blue Eryngium thistle. It was finished off with trailing velvet Ribbons.

HAIR STYLING

Soft flattering lines and texture help create a relaxed romantic feel which is perfect for an outdoor location. The great British weather is known for its unpredictability and the last thing you would want to worry about is your hair dropping or curls falling out. Relaxed textured hair up is the perfect option. The star of the show was little Hattie - what a little cutie! A high messy bun worked perfectly. I always recommend hair up for little ones, they can run around and play without you worrying.

WEDDING CAKE

Our beautiful Vow Renewal and Sustainable Safari Shoot brief was perfect for an on-trend two tiered cake. With a taller bottom tier and a smaller tier on top to give more height. The florals were to be foliage and succulents with a touch of burgundy and white and the décor was to use terracotta and black and white pottery in places. I used dried black sugar paste whizzed up in the blender and mixed with white sugar paste to cover the bottom tier to create texture and added a touch of gold lustre here and there.

We are just loving the vibrant and colourful stationery. We love a traditional look… but who said your invitations need to be void of colour? Not us!

Flower arrangements and props were reused across many areas from the quaint treelined vow renewal ceremony, the wilderness cake cutting, an intimate & private dining experience by the lakeside & relaxing by the fire pit in the safari lodge. We also had some fun on the row boat & feeding the resident alpacas!

If a vow renewal is something you are looking into, then we approve! Take a look at this golden wedding anniversary at the cow yard! Complete with a beautiful love story. Or how about Danielle & Paul? We absolutely adore this vibrant and bold day, which also happens to include the most incredible cake we have ever seen!
