The purpose of this incredible styled shoot was to bring old Hollywood Glamour to a country house estate, also known as the beautiful Recommended Venue, Howsham Hall. This luxe wedding inspiration showcases classic touches, enchanting styling, and the stylish and quirky features of Howsham Hall. The decadent chandeliers, ambient tabletop lights, vintage grand piano, and elegant wedding lounge, all provided a gorgeous backdrop for this stunning couple.

The glam-inspired look we wanted to capture was Old Hollywood. An aesthetic that draws inspiration from the glamour and elegance of the 1920s-1930s.

Howsham Hall Inspiration

Howsham Hall is one of York’s best-kept secrets! Located a short distance from Harrogate and York, it sits within 80 acres of private land, with panoramic views of natural open beauty. This Grade 1 Jacobean venue is a must-see for any engaged and planning couples. With 12 bedrooms on site, including one of the largest wedding suites in Europe (fun fact of the day), it boasts a wedding preparations lounge, dressing area, bedroom and bathroom. Howsham Hall offers the perfect spot to enjoy a wedding staycation in an exclusive-use venue

Hollywood Glam Styling

Taking inspiration from old Hollywood for this wedding theme the styling included soft textures, a neutral colour palette and plenty of soft candlelight. The tablescape was covered in lamps to cast a warm glow at the wedding breakfast and even the wedding cake matched this textural styling with a modern 3D vibe. The elopement ceremony was styled with classic chiffon drapes to give a softness to the room, with candles dressing the aisle. The florals were a classic mix of roses to keep with the luxe and timeless decor on the day.

Choose a Hollywood wedding theme for something timeless and luxe

Makeup by Lorna created a timeless classic bridal look by using a medium to full coverage base, a black defined wing and blushed cheeks. This was complimented by Hollywood bouncy waves and volume created by Hair by Tosetti. The look was accessorised with pearled jewellery to capture the vintage inspiration.
