Inspiration

There is little that could possibly make a Willow Marsh Farm Loughborough wedding even more beautiful. But 2 dresses, 3 pairs of shoes, a classy cool meets Game of Thrones-type theme, and Recommended supplier Mark Horton Photos make it possible. Annie & Robbie's splendid day had so many uniquely stunning elements. Like the incredible sea of pink and purple, a huge confetti tunnel, a choreographed first dance, and - lest we forget - a handmade wall of paper cranes. A wedding as fantastic as this is worthy of a fantastic wedding gift list. Luckily for Annie & Robbie, they got just that and more - courtesy of Recommended gift list supplier, Prezola.

We wanted to really celebrate with lots of colour and fill the room with joy. Our garden at home has orange, pink and lilac flowers, so this felt like a good starting place when it came to choosing a 'theme'! Being the start of spring, we had a decent choice of colourful flowers. Our ceremony was in front of a gorgeous fireplace which we dressed with flowers, candles and disco balls. The Willow Marsh Farm Loughborough had a real Game of Thrones vibe. I made 1000 origami paper cranes to decorate the venue. There is a Japanese tradition where the maker gets a special wish and good luck for the marriage. And, I mean, they just look stunning! We included the wish in our service and all our guests made one too. It was so special.

Willow Marsh Farm Loughborough

Willow Marsh Farm, nestled in the enchanting countryside of Loughborough, is a true gem among wedding venues. Its picturesque charm captivates the hearts of couples and guests alike, making it a dreamy setting for unforgettable celebrations. With sprawling green meadows, a tranquil lake, and weeping willows gracing the landscape, the venue exudes an air of romance and tranquility. As the sun sets over the horizon, casting a golden hue on the rustic barns and elegant event spaces, love and laughter fill the air. This is made evident at Annie & Robbie's beautiful day. There isn't one photo in this article where smiles aren't beaming and eyes aren't glistening. Of course, the gorgeous love being celebrated is beautiful on its own - but having this brilliant barn wedding venue as its backdrop definitely adds some sparkle. This idyllic haven promises to make each wedding a tale to be cherished forever - Annie & Robbie can certainly attest to that. As can their guests, and as can you - after gazing upon this glorious celebration.

All the little things

In this heartwarming wedding celebration, the atmosphere was filled with melodies of love and friendship. As Annie made her way down the aisle, the incredibly talented groomsman, Josh, graced the piano keys, filling the air with the enchanting notes of Ludovico Einaudi's "Nuvole Bianche." The maid of honour, Olivia, shared the poignant lyrics of "Come What May" from Moulin Rouge, a song that held a special place in their hearts. Amidst the joyous occasion, the touching moments continued as Robbie's brother recited a moving extract from Captain Corelli's Mandolin. And as the ceremony drew to a close, Tim's wedding piano graced the guests with a soulful rendition of Avicii's "For a Better Day," guiding them towards a future filled with hope and promise. The couple's entrance was nothing short of energetic and spirited, perfectly complemented by the upbeat anthem "Can't Hold Us" by Macklemore. This wedding was a harmonious blend of emotions and memories, making it a day we shall cherish forever.

If changing into a mini dress - have a plan! I had to tear myself away from the reception to change as I was enjoying myself too much. I didn't want to miss out on all the fun! So, I got changed while the guests got seated and it was such a rush. Really, I wish I'd tussled my hair and reapplied some lipstick and perfume, but all my getting-ready products were strewn around the bride's cottage. Luckily, Mark and Charlie were pros and we still got a few pictures in my new dress while there was still daylight.

Annie & Robbie

If joy, modern style, and infectious smiles were to be rolled up into one wedding, it would be Annie & Robbie's at Willow Marsh Farm Loughborough. We're obsessed with every single second of it - from start to finish. And who couldn't be? Apart from The Grinch, maybe. Or Scrooge. Or some other kind of nefarious, joy-hating Christmas-related character. If the wedding readings at this celebration inspired you, then Song of Solomon 2:8-17 might be up your street. Want to plan a wedding as brilliant as this? Then we highly recommend getting a cracking planner. Not sure where to find one? You're in luck - our article on the best wedding planner books and organisers is sure to be of help.
