Inspiration

Château de Malliac is a beautiful hidden gem in the vineyards of Gascony, France. Taking full advantage of the quintessentially French aestetic of the chateu, Abbie & Nick enjoyed every element of their wedding day outside. A sun kissed ceremony, al fresco reception and party kicked off with confetti bombs and a swift outfit change. To complement all the classic styling, the couple chose Recommended gift list provider, The Wedding Shop UK. But, before all this there was quite the journey to get to the wedding on time! Château de Malliac destination wedding with green satin bridesmaid dresses and a bespoke Emma Beaumont bridal gown

Nick and I have always wanted to get married in France with our closest friends and family. One thing that made our wedding unique was the French air strikes just 48 hours before our wedding! Four flights from the UK that over 75% of our guests were travelling on were cancelled! However, where there’s a will, there’s a way, and whether it was alternative flights, driving from the UK or catching trains to Paris and across France, we were so lucky that every single guest made it to witness us say, I do!

Château de Malliac

Abbie & Nick's theme was “French Chic’. They wanted their day to be classically elegant but with a relaxed feel. Château de Malliac has a romantic charm which took their breath away the moment they visited it. We totally get it! It's taking our breath away just looking at these incredible captures. They enhanced its natural beauty with white flower arrangements and green foliage, saying I do on the entrance lawn and partying in the delightful courtyard under a canopy of festoon lights.

Bespoke Wedding Dress

Now we've spoken about that gorgeous setting, let's discuss the phenomenal outfits. Green satin bridesmaid dresses, light beige suits, and Abbie's bespoke gown of dreams. Designed by talented dress designer, Emma Beaumont, featuring a deep V back, a floaty shirt and long sleeves with pearl-encrusted cuff details. Let's just take a moment to absorb all that style... It was the perfect gown for twirling around to their upbeat first dance song, September by Earth, Wind & Fire.

A classic and crisp green and white colour scheme is always a good idea.

Just do exactly what you want to do and don’t have any regrets! There will never be another occasion where everyone you love most is in the same place celebrating you. So, rip off the restrictions and go the whole hog! Don’t be ruled by expectations and what you think you should be doing, but follow your heart and be true to yourselves as a couple.

Abbie & Nick

Abbie & Nick's, French Château de Malliac wedding ticks every destination wedding box - good company, delcious food, sun drenched views and style. Yes, I'm talking about Abbie's bridal look again.
