Fun and unique vegan wedding inspiration

Rustic Romance Wedding Theme at Exmouth Country Lodge

Wow! Don’t mind us, we’re just taking in this gorgeous rustic wedding in Devon! Adrianne & Edd wanted that rustic-luxe vibe and their day is full of DIY and pre-loved decor as well as pasties and vegan churros in the evening as a nod to Devon. We love it all! You don't need to have a fully plant-based menu to make some more sustainable wedding choices.

Spiritual Wedding at Preston Court with Moon Maidens & Lantern Parade

Hanni & Alex's ethereal wedding threw tradition out the door with moon maidens instead of bridesmaids, a magical lantern parade, and DIY decorations that went with the pastel lilac colour scheme. As the couple are both vegetarian and a fair few of their friends and family are vegan, the couple decided to have a completely plant-based menu much to the surprise of their guests. But, everyone ended up loving it! With vegan canapes, wedding breakfast and dessert. Yum!

Aswarby Rectory Wedding With Black Stationery And Decor

Aimee & Daniel had no wedding cake and no first dance. Instead, what they did have was an epic vegan doughnut dessert table, singing waiters, and games at the wedding breakfast. Aimee created a whodunnit game inspired by Sherlock Holmes. Aimee wrote a whodunnit case about guests and hid clues around the venue for guests to find and solve. Once they guessed, they completed a card and popped it into a box. At 10 pm the couple drew a winner and they won a £50 restaurant voucher.

Hanging Flowers for Vegan Wedding in Scotland

Verity & Ewan's wedding in Scotland is just gorgeous but there are a few unique things about this day we just have to mention. Verity wore a fitted vegan wedding dress and she also had thirteen bridesmaids and one bridesman! All the food served was vegan too. Being conscious and ensuring there were plenty of food options for guests was something that was very important to the couple!

Sustainable Vegan Wedding With Festival Theme at Rustic Devon Venue

Lucy & Tom made sure that their day was full of sustainable wedding decisions. Not only did they have a vegan wedding breakfast, but they also used recycled products, wildflowers and homemade decor all throughout their day to coincide with their cool festival theme. They ended up with this festival theme after getting engaged at Glastonbury Festival! Aww!

Vegan Wedding Food At The East Dulwich Tavern

For Mel & Ollie, having a wedding that reflected both of them and their personalities was extremely important. As they're both vegans they decided against the formal sit-down meal and instead had a big buffet of all their fave foods! After, they also had an epic vegan dessert table with doughnuts, lemon drizzle cake, and rocky road treats. Yum!

Loeffler Randall Shoes & Embroidered Veil for Registry Office Wedding

Syd & Jordan married at Oxford Registry Office after having their original dates moved around three times! They made sure to celebrate their day well with a whole host of yummy food. They had a two-tiered vegan vanilla and salted caramel wedding cake, 100 vegan doughnut wedding favours, and 3 huge tables of grazing boards, with a huge section of just vegan boards. It all looks incredible!

Vegan Wedding Reception With Bride In 50s Style Dress

Hannah & Alex had a chic and retro-style city wedding in London. With Hannah wearing a 50s-style short wedding dress, it's fair to say the couple didn't want to stick to tradition for their special day. Hannah & Alex both didn't want to have a formal dinner and instead found suppliers to cook up some vegan curries!

Gender Neutral Wedding at Lyde Court With Personalised Vows

Amanda & Ceri's wedding cake is potentially our fave of the year and guess what...it's vegan! As were their homemade fudge wedding favours and Ceri's stunning burgundy suit! This couple also wanted to have a retro theme wedding with plenty of hot magenta featured throughout their day. It's also 2023's Pantone colour of the year, so congratulations to Amanda and Ceri for being epic trendsetters!

Pearl Headband Wedding Accessory

Okay we know we just said that the previous wedding had our fave wedding cake of the year but Freya & Charlie's vegan chocolate wedding cake has to be the cutest! Those cake toppers are just everything! The plant wedding favours also get an honourable mention. By using local suppliers and friends/family, the couple were able to plan their wedding in a short and sweet 6-month period.

Satin Slip DIY Wedding Dress at Marquee Wedding

Vanessa & Fergus had a DIY wedding dress (yep! The bride's mother handmade it), a vegan dinner, and locally grown florals… there are plenty of eco-conscious aspects we love throughout this gorgeous wedding. Vanessa & Fergus said they're I-do's at a local cricket pitch, too! If you're looking for wholesome vibes, this is it!

Wedding Bouncy Castle at Silchester Farm Wedding

Jess & Ben wanted a day of fun and love, so naturally, they decided on a pizza truck, candy floss and dessert pods with a multitude of sweet treats to accompany their wedding bouncy castle. Not all of the food at Jess & Ben's wedding was vegan but we thought it a good example of how you can cater to everyone's diets with just a few simple changes. We'll take a box of those vegan vanilla cupcakes, please!

Pagan Wedding With Handfasting & Burgundy Bridesmaid Dresses

Emma & Jez's ethereal pagan wedding has just the most gorgeous vibes. But it gets even better when you know that all their food and drink was 100% plant-based and organic! All their flowers were ethically sourced and Emma's wedding dress was vintage. By doing all of this, they were able to support local suppliers and some of their friend's and family's businesses as well.

Foliage Filled Wedding At Colstoun East Lothian

Jen & Sean's wedding day took place in Scotland with a botanical theme. The couple truly bought the outside indoors with plenty of foliage decor. While this couple didn't have a full vegan menu, they had vegan and gluten-free options as part of their day and had a stunning wedding cake that they got so many compliments on!

Foxhill Manor Intimate Wedding

Aimee & Gordon had a stunning and traditional summer wedding. Of course, being in summer one of the most popular treats was ice cream! The couple found a vegan ice cream tuk-tuk and also had a vegan wedding cake made for their day. They made these choices to make their day feel as much like themselves as possible.

Sustainable Wedding at Elmley Nature Reserve with A Plant-Based Menu

Hannah & Alistair wanted their wedding to be a chance for their wedding guests to experience delicious plant-based food and so invested in a wonderful menu with primarily local, seasonal and homegrown produce. They also wanted to keep their wedding as sustainable as possible so created online invites and save the dates and decided on using homegrown wildflowers.

Whether you have an entirely plant-based menu or just a vegan wedding cake, each choice makes a difference!

As you can see from the gorgeous weddings and imagery above, having a vegan wedding does NOT mean that food has to be plain or boring! With some incredible iced wedding cakes and delicious desserts, they all look so good! Maybe veganism isn't for you but you'd like to make some more sustainable wedding decisions in other areas. Here are some eco-wedding tips and ideas on how to have a low-waste wedding too!
