We think a lot of people make weddings about everyone else, but we just wanted it to be about the things we loved. We don’t think many people do that anymore, as the focus is completely on the guests. Obviously, we wanted our guests to love it too, but we wanted it to be about us.
The Tythe Barn Launton
The Tythe Barn Launton is the perfect backdrop for a modern rustic wedding. Amy & Jonny’s use of black, white and neutral decor emphasised this and created the wedding venue vibe they both wanted. The ceremony was held under the twinkly lights of The Tythe Barn and featured wedding readings, including Union by Robert Fulgham. Amy & Jonny love food and made their guests were well-fed. They also hand a cocktail hour and plenty more drinks at the wedding breakfast and reception. We are also huge fans of the cheese tower they had instead of a traditional wedding cake - It’s your day, your way, and that extends to wedding food! The party continued into the night, starting with their first dance to Simply The Best by Tina Turner (absolutely iconic), and continuing with a killer wedding band. The night ended with a sparkler send-off, which is a magical way to say goodbye to all your guests and makes for some pretty great photos too.
Speaking with vendors beforehand is really important. If you don’t click with them, you have to really consider if you want them to be part of your day, as they will be around, a lot!
