How does your process work?
Your cake design should be a reflection of you as a couple & compliment every aspect of your day - therefore my approach is very much client focussed & consultative. We would start with an initial email discussion to learn more about your date, venue & initial design idea details. I will share my thoughts, price guides & menus & we will ascertain availability & also whether I am the right designer for you. When you decide you would like to work together, I kindly ask for a Booking Deposit to secure your date, after which we move forward with next steps. We will schedule a Design Consultation, which I conduct over Zoom at a time to suit you - where we will discuss everything in detail & I will find out as much as I can in order to prepare a suite of design sketches for you. This allows you to visualise a variety of design options which we can then refine until we reach the final composition. Alongside this element of the process, you will have the opportunity to try a selection of signature flavours, with a complimentary Tasting Box which will be delivered to your door, to enjoy in the comfort of your home. Once the design & flavour choices are agreed, I will connect with your venue & various suppliers, particularly your florist if you are choosing a floral design, to ensure we are all connected & everything can move forward seamlessly so you don't have to think about anything other than enjoying your first slice as a newly married couple!
I'm looking for something a bit different - can you help with that?
Yes absolutely! Whilst I can create beautifully traditional designs, I love to experiment with shape, colour, texture and different mediums. Creativity is at the centre of my work & I am so here for the different & the unusual! Hit me with your ideas & let's make something fabulous!
Can you tell me more about pricing?
As each cake is bespoke & unique, it is difficult to provide a simple answer on pricing however I have created a detailed pricing menu based around the size of the cake (which aligns with the number of servings and style you require) & then varies depending on the various custom design details. As a guide, cakes start from £450 & most couples tend to invest around £500-£600 for a two tier design & £650-£850 for a three tier design and so on.
Would you deliver & set up my cake?
Yes absolutely - your cake is precious & I like to ensure that not only is it delivered safely but also that it is set up & styled perfectly. Depending on their size, many designs require structuring & completing on-site. Delivery & set up is charged based on mileage & set-up time & will be quoted further to understanding your venue location & design details.
Do you cater for allergies?
All of my cakes contain dairy, eggs & gluten. My recipes do not contain nuts, although are made in a kitchen that handles nuts & all other allergens. I do not offer gluten or dairy free cakes, however I do offer both a Vegan Cupcake & Vegan Sugar Cookie option to accompany your cakes if required.
