Inspiration

This Wilderness Reserve wedding venue is so stunning! Joséphine & Sarah wanted their wedding to be full of all things chic and natural, so the gorgeous venue became an obvious choice to achieve that. Most of their family and friends had to fly over from Mauritius to attend the day, which made it all so special. But it was also the first LGBTQI+ wedding that most of the guests had attended, it was a magical day for everyone involved. Recommended supplier, Laura Williams Photography, has done an incredible job at capturing all the emotions and love from this beautiful day.

Please don’t stop on the tiny details, not a lot of people see them.
Focus on the food, drink and having a good party. Be present in the moment as the day will fly by and then it’s too late to appreciate it all.

Joséphine & Sarah

Joséphine & Sarah wanted their wedding to be chic and natural, so having it in the Wilderness Reserve made perfect sense.
The reserve itself is beautiful and the couple thought they didn’t need much more for the wedding to be magical. They stuck with a colour palette of light pink, peach, white and a few touches of black. The overall vibe turned out to be modern and luxe. Complete with Sarah's gorgeous bridal suit and the elegant flower columns for the altar decor. We're obsessed! The tables were set up in a U-shape, allowing plenty of space for dancing later in the afternoon. Such a good layout idea if partying is essential to you!

Emotional Moments

The whole wedding day was magical for both Joséphine & Sarah. There were a lot of emotions. The couple found it impossible to choose a fave moment but both agree that the party was pretty fun. They had most of their friends and family flying from Mauritius to come to the wedding. To make it all worthwhile and to get to speak to everyone that made the journey, Joséphine & Sarah had a 3-day celebration. It was a big change of scenery for all the Mauritian people coming to the beautiful English countryside. The three days were full of touching speeches and tons of absolutely epic dancing featuring Joséphine’s second sparkly dress.

Our advice is to hire a wedding planner. Everything might not go exactly as planned but just go with the flow.
