Blue & Lilac Wedding Inspiration
We wanted our day to be simple but reflect our personalities! As it was a civil wedding, we thought we could experiment a bit more ahead of a big traditional wedding celebration. I really wanted to wear a suit and we went with a simple but opulent royal blue theme.
We weren’t expecting our registry to be so small but because it was during tricky Covid times we had to settle with 20 people! This meant it was a family, chief bridesmaid and best man only event. We were obviously initially sad about this, but we had an amazing time being surrounded by those who knew our love story from the start. Having both our grandmothers there was huge! We weren’t expecting them to be with us as they are both elderly and were feeling poorly. It genuinely made the day so special when we danced with them!
Do what feels right to you. Everyone will share their thoughts but ultimately go with your gut and have fun!
