What Made Our Day Unique
Amy has ties to Bridport in Dorset, and we really wanted to get married in the local area. Having grown up watching River Cottage and regularly visiting the canteen in Axminster, it quickly became our first place to consider. After seeing the venue, we made our decision and didn’t look anywhere else. We loved the idea of getting married outside and we were so lucky with the weather on the day. We hired the River cottage games package which included welly throwing, skittles and coconut shire. Everyone loved the welly throwing and one guest won a golden welly signed by Hugh Fearnley- Whittingstall.
Inspiration & Styling
We loved River Cottage as a venue because of its rustic charm and relaxed and natural beauty. The venue didn’t need anything adding, as it was exactly what we were looking for. We arranged a few additional flowers and had sparklers in the evening which the guests loved.
