Vamps Star James McVey wedding to fiancee Kirstie Brittain at Lulworth Castle

The incredible venue, complemented by the insane styling, came together beautifully to create the perfect atmosphere for our fairytale wedding. It felt warm and intimate, despite being a Grade 1 listed castle that had been almost destroyed by fire 100 years ago.

Inspiration

The description I was going with was 'slightly dead, modern English garden.' It probably made more sense in my head than when I said it out loud. But Sarah and Joey instantly understood my vision and bought it to life in a way I had never thought possible. They created the most beautiful, autumnal, rich setting, complete with cosy candlelight to have as the backdrop to our day.

James McVey Wedding

The Vamps star James McVey, guitarist and singer, finally married his fiancée Kirstie Brittain, a year after they had to postpone their wedding due to the coronavirus pandemic. The musician and 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here' star said his vows to his girlfriend at Lulworth Castle in Dorset on Saturday, October 30, and it's nothing short of spectacular.

Bespoke Wedding Dress

Real bride Kirstie met bespoke wedding dress designer Victoria Sanders Studio at a wedding show just after her engagement to James McVey in 2019. Victoria Sanders stood head and shoulders above anything else Kirstie and her mum had seen. She swiftly knew a bespoke Victoria Sanders wedding dress would be the one. Victoria and her team set about creating a beautiful custom-made wedding dress crafted from sustainable peach silk. The design included an off-the-shoulder neckline and a removable skirt. It became sleek and light for the evening, perfect for dancing the night away to James' set.

A bridal party in satin bridesmaid dresses is always a good idea.

Be organised. I wasn't very organised, and it made everything much more stressful than it needed to be! Failing that get a wedding planner!

If you love bespoke wedding dresses as much as we do, then you should read our article on the processes involved. Has James' McVey's writing skills got you thinking about putting pen to paper? Perhaps you want to write personalised vows or get some tips on your wedding speech? We can help with both of those. You're welcome.
