Inspiration

This monochrome minimalist wedding at Recommended venue, Hayne House, was all about the details! We're in love with Issy's short wedding dress with a bow! Issy & Tom have thought of so many unique things including a popcorn bar, a dessert table with personalised fun fact napkins, old photos from their parents' weddings, personalised candles, and polaroid photos. The bride had even designed and made a surprise wedding newspaper! The incredible Recommended supplier, Shelby Ellis Photography, captured all the special details!

Short wedding dress with bow for Hayne House wedding

Besides walking down the aisle and saying our vows, our favourite moment would probably be seeing our vision for our wedding come to life. We took time to ourselves after walking back up the aisle to look out at everyone and take in the moment. Also, getting to see how the wedding breakfast tables and room was set up felt really special as it was exactly how we envisioned it to be and we were so excited for all our guests to be seated!

Short Wedding Dress With Bow

Issy & Tom opted for a modern minimalist-inspired wedding with tons of personalisation. It was all black and white with touches of gold and pearl details. Tom was in a traditional black tie and Issy wore a fun short wedding dress with a bow! Both their outfits were from high street brands to match the modern and minimal vibes but the couple added some glamour with gold bridesmaid dresses. Issy walked down the aisle to 'You've Got The Love' by Florence & The Machine as she's always loved the song and her parents also walked down the aisle to it for their vow renewal, so the string quartet learnt it especially for the couple. Hayne House has a stunning Orangery with tons of natural light and perfectly manicured gardens. There is no shortage of beautiful spots for photos!

Personal Details

Issy & Tom made sure there were lots of personalised and fun details for their day. With popcorn and an infused water station to welcome guests, personalised biscuit wedding favours (handmade by the bride), mini golf entertainment
, personalised fun fact napkins
, a custom dessert table,
a personalised photobooth backdrop and cut-out of their pet dog! This couple literally thought of everything and the little touches have made their day so special. As a surprise for Tom, Issy created a wedding day newspaper. It included engagement pictures, the story of their engagement, and stag/hen-do details. Issy & Tom met while playing badminton when they were young and there were always articles in their local newspaper about their matches. So sweet!

Monochrome and minimal style wedding with plenty of personalised touches!

Our advice is to create a visual mock-up of how you want the venue to look by editing pictures of decor you have onto photographs of your wedding venue. This helps you visualise what decor you have, see exactly where you want it located, and is a really useful guide for the wedding venue and suppliers who set up on the day.
