Classic Stowe House Wedding

Make haste! Make haste! And gather to take a look at this gorgeous traditional and classic Bridgerton-inspired wedding at Stowe House! Seriously, we feel like we're looking at stills from the show with the incredible photography from Recommended supplier, James Green Studio! Maira & Ashley chose everything for their day based on classic period dramas like Bridgerton and Downton Abbey. Stowe House was also a filming location for Bridgerton, so it's a perfect choice! The couple also chose Recommended supplier, Prezola, for their gift list.

Traditional and timeless Stowe House wedding

We found most of our suppliers via Instagram and Rock My Wedding, which was a great source of inspiration and a great way to find suppliers. Our suppliers were all incredible, but we feel like we need to give a big shout-out to the events team at Stowe House as they were phenomenal before, during and after our wedding.

Traditional Stowe House

Maira & Ashley's wedding was very classic and traditional in style. Maira specifically requested the amazing florist to make her bouquet similar to the style her grandmothers had at their weddings, as well as having the same style of dress, veil and hairpieces. From the black tie dress code, the country house venue (Stowe House), the flowers, the music (with a pianist), the simple decor with touches of pink, the food and cakes, and the bridal car, everything really was very classic and timeless. Maira & Ashley's wedding day incorporated as much tradition as possible because the couple decided early on that they wanted everything to be classic.

Bridgerton Wedding

Maira is from Brazil and many guests also travelled from abroad for the wedding. Because of this, the couple wanted to incorporate a lot of British wedding traditions into the day to fit the glorious Stowe House. The guests were all also announced individually into the Reception Hall by the Toastmaster, in true Bridgerton fashion! The chargers, embroidered napkins, and flower napkin rings were all handmade in Brazil and brought over by Maira's mother. Maira & Ashley chose the magnificent Stowe House as they used Maira's grandmothers' weddings, Downtown Abbey, the British Royal weddings, and Bridgerton as sources of inspiration for every detail.

Set a budget and try really hard to stick to it! Make a list of all the suppliers you need and focus on the most important ones first (venue, catering, photographer, band). Then the rest becomes easier. Make sure you get more than one quote from each. Also, keeping your guests entertained and the energy of the day up should not be underestimated! You don't have to spend much, but think about creative ideas to make your day flow seamlessly!
