Today’s inspiration shoot comes from one of our favourite wedding venues in the West Midlands – Compton Verney – members of our handpicked directory of wedding suppliers, The Love Lust List. (If you are searching for top suppliers for your wedding day, it really should be your first port of call – the gorgeous gowns provided for the shoot were from a Love Lust List recommended boutique too – The Stamford Bridal Rooms).
This Winter Luxe inspired shoot, styled by Debonair Venue Styling, showcases the gorgeous venue beautifully, the silver and white tones perfectly echo the loftiness and light of the building.
We love the difference in the gowns worn by the lovely models – the theatrical ‘Savoy’ by Suzanne Neville is just perfect for the grand Compton Verney estate and ‘Simone’ by Jenny Packham adds a pretty touch of Winter sparkle – a great reflection of the decor. As well as this gorgeous shoot, if you want to see a real wedding from Compton Verney – have a look at Tamsin and Simon’s big day too 🙂
Dee at Debonair Venue Styling: With a wealth of architectural detail and home to a priceless art collection Compton Verney is based in Warwickshire and was the ideal location to portray our gorgeous ‘Winter Luxe’ styled shoot.
Our vision was to showcase that winter weddings can be creative and individual for couples planning a wedding in this dreamy romantic season. To create a design theme and concept that accentuated the elegance of the venue whilst creating a luxurious and luxe feel which was brought to life with the help of some pretty talented individuals.
Winter, elegance, glamour and warmth are the words we would use to describe our ‘Winter Luxe’ styled shoot. Combining the cool tones of silver grey teamed with luxurious fur provided a dramatic looking scene set amongst the splendour of the setting.
To enhance the design different textures added depth and warmth with the combination of silver grey taffeta table linen and luxurious arctic fur which formed the base of the design. Embellished fur napkins holders created by our team, silver shell glass charger plates, antique silver cutlery, silver mercury jewel votive holders, soft silver ruscus garlands with fine wired lights, ice white bowls with succulents, flowers and glass balls, silver mercury stands with white phalaenopsis orchids, hydrangeas, spray roses and hellebore. Complimented with white glassware, ghost chairs adorned with white fur covers, bespoke themed stationery with a little sprinkling of snow.
The creative use of alternative lighting was a huge consideration due to the no naked flame policy at the venue and we implemented a soft glow by working with fine wire lighting to enhance the romantic feel of the setting internally.
The gorgeous 4 tier white rose cake was created with hand crafted petals whilst the cookies were adorned with blueberries, silver dragees, pearls and shimmered with edible glitter. This was styled upon a fur base along with adding delicate lighting effects to enhance the beauty of the amazing cake.
The exterior featured an abundance of white pillar candles, frosted jars again by our creative team adorned with silver hearts. Outdoor wreaths with ivy, avalanche roses, spray roses, hellebore, berries and hydrangeas, add a sprinkling of snow created a dreamy romantic look.
