There’s something so classic and beautiful about country house weddings, we just can’t get enough of them! Hannah & Matt married at Brympton House with a timeless and elegant vibe alongside their man of honour and groomswoman! The couple decorated the venue with taper and pillar candles for soft cosy lighting that really upped the romantic vibes. Hannah wore a completely classic bridal look with a  Pronovias wedding dress and shoes from Recommended supplier, Rainbow Club. Now, without further ado, let's get into it...

Traditional Brympton House wedding

Look online at checklists and tasks involved in weddings. Then discuss how you might divide and conquer these as a couple to ensure that neither person feels that they are taking on a heavier wedding planning workload than the other. This worked well for us as Hannah tended more towards creative tasks, whilst Matt was a whizz at the more logistical ones. We would also recommend skipping wedding favours as they are often under-appreciated or ignored entirely. Instead, we held a fun photo booth next to our party barn late into the evening.

Brympton House

As it is so enchanting in and of itself, Hannah & Matt wanted to stay true to the timeless English romance of the Brympton House wedding venue. The couple honed in on elegant British florals in light autumnal tones and included eucalyptus greenery as a nod to Matt's Australian background. Hannah & Matt kept the romantic feel by using an abundance of pillar and tapered candles in antique brass candlesticks and candelabras. They were both keen for the styling to be romantic and wild, exemplified by the wedding flowers

Mixed Gender Wedding Parties

Hannah & Matt kept the feel of their wedding at Brympton House as timeless and elegant as possible. They weren't afraid to part from tradition to host a day truly reflective of who they are. The couple had a brilliant man of honour and a groomswoman. There was no best man either! There was both a groom and bridal speech during the meal, and Hannah & Matt wrote their own vows. Hannah's brother, Sam, walked her down the aisle. We even had slightly differently coloured boutonnieres for men on either side of the family.

Don't feel restricted with your wedding party! Add a groomswoman or man of honour like Hannah & Matt!

We utilised the incredible talents of many of our friends to ensure most elements of our day were as meaningful to us as possible. Our cake-maker created a masterpiece iced in soft buttercream, with three tiers, one flavoured with lemon and elderflower, one classic vanilla and raspberry, and one double chocolate. Hannah created digital illustrations of the venue for our wedding stationery, which she finalised alongside a very close friend, who is a graphic designer. The beautiful songs during our ceremony were performed by another wonderful friend, who is a professional musician.
