Rustic wedding at The Barns at Redcoats

For us, the day was being with all our friends and family. Something we never thought would be in question when we got engaged at the end of 2019. There was so much uncertainty whether or not the day would go ahead because of Covid, but we feel so lucky that we were able to stick with our original planned date, with unrestricted numbers. It was the first time we had seen a lot of people since we got engaged, and it was so special!

We wanted the day to be quite timeless and vintage in feel but still with some personality. Our venue was the perfect setting as it has a lot of character but with some great, quirky decor. We added lots of vintage details and the addition of our vintage sofa chill-out area with the neon sign backdrop was just perfect and very popular

Church wedding ceremony with classic car and velvet bridesmaid dresses

We have two stand out moments of the day! One of our favourite moments of the day was when the band kicked off the evening at The Barns at Redcoats. It was a real shift change in the day, and I think a sense of relief that all the big responsibilities were over! It got quite messy from there onwards! Another favourite moment of mine (Harriet) was waiting to enter the church and walking down the aisle. I absolutely dreaded it leading up to the wedding as I hate being the centre of attention. I thought the whole ceremony was going to be very nerve-wracking, but I felt surprisingly calm, and it ended up being my favourite part of the day.
