Ashridge House

My husband said his favourite part of the day was the celebrant ceremony and watching me walk down the aisle, he said I looked beautiful and as if I was floating down the stairs. Mine was when we were being introduced into the wedding breakfast, being able to see everyone celebrating our marriage and also seeing the stunning transformation of that room was an amazing feeling.
Multicultural Ashridge House Wedding
Catherine & Becker’s wedding was a total mix of both of their cultures and heritages. Catherine is half Chinese and half Thai and Becker is Iraqi Arabic and both are born in the UK. The couple wanted to reflect and celebrate all aspects of who they are by having a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony and Chinese lion dancers. Becker’s culture was celebrated with Arabic entertainment, including the traditional zaffa drummers and a belly dancer. The happy couple did all of this whilst also celebrating their British roots, which is why Ashridge House was the most perfect venue. The inspiration for the styling came from an anime film called ‘Your Name’. This film is a favourite for Catherine & Becker who used the vibrant colours and magical dream-like quality of the movie in their wedding. The suppliers went above and beyond to bring this to life and actually brought the bride to tears. What a dream!
If you are able to, get a wedding planner. They save so much of your time and really help you make sure your wedding is what you want. Our advice is to remember you're not the hosts of your wedding, you're the guests of honour that everyone has come to celebrate. Enjoy it!
