With Edd working in hospitality we were lucky to have some great contacts. Hampton Court House also had some excellent preferred suppliers who knew the venue inside out and could advise on how to get the most out of the venue for the vibe we wanted to create.
Make the day personal to you - avoid the cut-and-paste formalities wherever possible and don't be afraid to go against the status quo. There's a lot of etiquette and "we should do this" in planning a wedding but if it doesn't fit your day, don't do it. Equally as important, enjoy the run-up regardless of how stressful it may seem. Take time just the two of you and don't let the wedmin take over!
