I couldn’t have made it through wedding planning without my maid of honour, my best friend and sister - Karina. She was by my side every step of the way, acting as my consultant, stylist, and biggest supporter. She planned the most incredible hen weekend and a gorgeous bridal shower, making every moment feel so special. Her planning skills are unmatched—I even told her she should go pro! We’re beyond grateful for everything she’s done, and we both love her so much. A massive thank you to her for making this journey even more magical!

From the start, it was clear that Rianna & Sam were going to do things their way. Instead of a standard officiant, a dear family friend led their heartfelt celebrant service, making the ceremony even more personal. And just when you thought it couldn’t get more emotional, Rianna’s mum delivered a stunning rendition of Kissing You, leaving not a single dry eye in the house.
Then came the music! A steel pan band filled the air with the infectious sounds of Soca, ensuring there was no such thing as standing still. Guests swayed, clapped, and let the island beats take over. To keep the spirits high, the couple served authentic Rum Punch and a family-style feast that brought everyone together. And in a bold move that paid off, they ditched the traditional wedding cake in favour of a champagne tower. Nothing says celebration quite like endless bubbles!
When it came to decor, Rianna & Sam wanted their guests to feel completely transported. Lush, tropical florals in bold, bright hues filled the space. Ever the thoughtful couple, they repurposed the bridesmaids’ florals for a remembrance table, making sure no bloom went to waste. Instead of individual menus and order-of-the-day cards, beautifully designed boards guided guests through the festivities. Engaging all five senses was key. Fresh tropical fruits scented the air, a subtle yet immersive detail that made the setting feel even more authentic.
And, of course, no celebration would be complete without a nod to Sam’s family’s love of quizzing! As weekly pub quiz regulars, the couple knew they had to incorporate a ‘Sam & Rianna themed' quiz into their wedding. With a winning prize of a bar tab, it became one of the most memorable parts of the day.
Rianna: My favourite moment was listening to my husband’s speech. He’s not usually one to be in the spotlight, and I knew how much effort he put into writing it. As he spoke, every word held me captive. He didn’t forget a single thank you or miss the chance to honour the people who matter most to us. It was heartfelt, thoughtful, and so him—a beautiful reminder of all the qualities I fell in love with. At that moment, I was so sure I had made the best decision of my life.
Sam: My favourite moment was our first dance, but honestly, I don’t think of the day in moments. I love remembering it as a whole.
