Magic Maker of a Venue
Where to begin! We felt so privileged to get married at Bardney Hall just under 9 weeks ago. This little slice of heaven, tucked away in such stunning grounds was the perfect backdrop to our special day. The gardens are beautifully maintained and planted in such a way it doesn’t matter what time of year you get married; it will look absolutely breath-taking in your photos and the grandeur of the building is guaranteed to wow your guests as they arrive to celebrate with you! We had a mixture of sun and rain on our big day and our photos were still absolutely glorious.
The rooms are immaculate; they have a real luxurious ambience and beautiful toiletries and fluffy towels make you feel so pampered. (Top tip: if a ginormous spa bath sounds like the perfect way to wind down after your special day, then the Austen Suite was made for you!) The elegance of the surroundings, both inside and out, add genuine magic and were absolutely made for making the most incredible memories.
Now, for any prospective brides or grooms reading this; my husband and I will tell you exactly what sets this place apart from all the others. The hosts at Bardney Hall, Claire and Hannah, are a truly extraordinary mother and daughter team. If there is anything that these ladies can do for you, they absolutely will. My husband and I love to travel around the UK and we have never known hospitality like the reception we received at Bardney Hall. Our wedding was planned with very little notice and these amazing ladies went above and beyond to help us organise and finalise every little detail. Even when I changed my mind on a few things, (as we brides invariably do!) nothing, and I mean nothing, was too much trouble. They were patient, supportive, reassuring and kind beyond measure. On the day, they were on hand to help with anything at all that I needed and everything was absolutely perfect. Their attention to detail is phenomenal; every tiny aspect was taken care of and the day ran so smoothly that we were able to relax, enjoy and soak in every second.
We haven’t even got to the food yet; it was simply divine. We had Afternoon Tea with our guests and it was exquisitely presented, generously served and just delicious. This, along with our supper and our breakfast the following morning, were catered specifically to our tastes and dietary needs. They were more than happy to tailor parts of the menu to our guests with additional needs, whether age or disability related.
If you want to get married (or indeed celebrate another special occasion) somewhere that looks breath-takingly beautiful, somewhere that your guests will be talking about forevermore and somewhere where the hosts care just as much about one of the biggest days of your life as you do, then THIS is your venue and THESE are your people! Truly we cannot thank Claire and Hannah enough. We are beyond glad that we chose Bardney Hall and beyond grateful for the sparkle it brought to our day.
