Is a Celebrant Ceremony Legally Binding?
Whilst a celebrant ceremony isn't legally binding - you can make a celebration out of your legal marriage ceremony at a registry office (or just go sign the papers!) and then follow up with a more personalised and unique celebrant-led service.
Why should I have a celebrant-led ceremony over a registrar?
There are so many benefits to a celebrant-led ceremony - firstly, the freedom to hold the ceremony anywhere you wish, flexibility on time, inclusivity and cultural diversity, a meaningful relationship with a celebrant who is with you every step of the process and actually knows you. Ultimately, having a service that is a reflection of you as a couple, your values, your passion, your joys, your unique stories. Your ceremony won't be like anyone else's and when you put so much creativity and vision into the rest of your big day - why wouldn't you put that into your ceremony too?
What makes you unique as a celebrant?
Whilst I love telling love stories, the thing I am most passionate about is helping couples achieve their vision for their perfect day. I pride myself on really getting to know my couples, so that I can share the highs and lows of event planning with you - and be someone you trust, so that when we get to the big day and I am telling your story - I know that it will feel special to you as a couple, and that your will feel comfortable with me leading your day. I have a background in event management and used to be a speech writer - so I come armed with a wealth of experience in both fields, I have a long list of suppliers in the industry I can help recommend and put you in touch with as we move through the process. For so many of my couples I become their wedding cheerleader, their planning partner (because you don't want to spoil every surprise telling your bridal party!), and on the day their second event planner, and sometimes even dance floor starter!
What is the process of working with you?
Reach out here and we will arrange a time to discuss your big day, and everything you want. I will prepare a quotation and give you time to think about if I am the right celebrant for you! Should you wish to book me we will arrange a time for a face-to-face meeting where possible, but this can be over zoom if necessary, and we will talk in depth about your big day, your love story, and what you want from your ceremony - everything from the overall style, and feel, as well as how you want the ceremony to go. I will then go away and take everything I have learnt to write a tailor made, bespoke service for you. You get unlimited rewrites, so once you have the script you can edit, review and amend any of the details., until we have things perfect. I include a rehearsal if you wish, and will reach out and coordinate with any planners/photographers/videographers/av suppliers, prior to the big day to make sure we have everything coordinated. It is important we get the perfect photos, and reminders of your special day. On the day itself, I will be there before hand - making sure everything is perfect for your big moment, and if this means helping the florists and the planners, I will pitch it to make the day perfect! Ceremony done and dusted, I will give you your ceremony copy and keepsake certificate and leave you to enjoy the rest of your special day together.
Do you offer MC Services too?
YES! Often my Couples ask me I will stay on for the day and MC for them. It makes sense as on this journey, I become your personal cheerleader, along with being an insanely organised person. I work with your suppliers throughout the day to keep the timeline of the event flowing, to get those magical moments happening on schedule, and with all your guests at the right place, at the right time. By making me your MC as well as your Celebrant - we can also make sure that the theme of the day carries from ceremony, to wedding breakfast to dancefloor, stress free and engaging throughout- with your perfect moments captured in photos and in memories in a more contemporary manner than offered by your traditional toast master.
