I create fun, personal, creative ceremonies that you’ll look back on and treasure. I’ve worked as a writer, performer and voice artist, and know how to create a special and unique environment for you.

FAQS

What is your style?

I work with you to tell your story, in your way, and craft an event that is as intimate or as out-there as you want it to be. My ceremonies have been described as fun, creative, inclusive and warm by the couples I've been fortunate to work with.

How soon should I book you?

Securing me as your celebrant early in bringing your wedding team together means I can make your ceremony as personal as you want it to be. I chose not to book a lot of ceremonies in a year, so that I can give each ceremony the attention and care it deserves. It gives me time to support, encourage and get to know you - and to liaise with your venue, photographer and other suppliers.

Do I need to have my Registrar there on the day?

No. You can do the legal paperwork at any time (way) before or after your wedding celebration. Which you can hold *anywhere* - your ceremony doesn't need to take place in a licensed wedding venue ...although it is also absolutely fine to have your ceremony in one too. Without a Registrar. Don't let yourself get upsold a civil ceremony by a Registrar unless you want an 'insert name here' experience because unless you are very lucky, that's how it will feel. Many people still don't know they have a choice other than a religious or civil ceremony - or that the whole process of finding and working with your celebrant can be incredibly fun, easy and personal.

What happens in your ceremonies?

Answer A. Anything you want - I'll explore this with you. Answer B. Generally, a Humanist ceremony includes some kind of welcome for your guests, your story / journey so far being shared, an exchange of promises to each other, a symbolic action (exchange of rings, showing off of tattoos, lighting of candles) and then an announcement that you are married! Answer C. Everything I can possibly do to make sure you and your guests feel included and supported. Answer D. I don't include religious content in my ceremonies, but can support you to understand how to incorporate this into other parts of your day other than the ceremony if this is important to you.
