Can you rework my mums old Wedding dress?
Yes. We would discuss how you want to change the dress and I can advise on what is possible. Previous dresses have been made from an heirloom 1960s sari and a 1970s dress and hooded lace cape. I've even reworked a dress from vintage lace tablecloths before!
Can you source sustainable fabrics for my dress?
Yes. With each dress I work on I build up a library of fabrics and suppliers, from eco-crepes to sustainably produced laces I can research and source any fabric you have in mind.
Can my bespoke dress be Vegan.
Yes. There are so many great sustainable bridal fabrics and silk alternatives out there that are plant based. I have worked on Vegan orders before so have a great range of suppliers to work with.
Do you have vintage dresses for sale?
Yes I always have a small range of vintage dresses that I'm restoring whilst not working on bespoke orders. These are all available to buy as they are or can be a base for a reworked dress.
How much time do you need to make a dress?
Brides usually approach me around 6 months prior to the day. But I can also work to a tighter timescale or book you in for a longer timescale if you prefer.
I was so lucky to have the amazing and incredibly talented Madeline to help design and make my dream wedding dress. Her skill and attention to detail & vision exceeded my expectations and it’s clear that she loves what she does... I felt so comfortable with her and felt involved throughout the whole process. From working with her on the design, the fit, choosing the fabric and the lace, Madeline was able to create a dress that I was forever searching for but would have never found in a wedding boutique. Thank you so much for creating a dress that was so unique and personal to me, I will be forever grateful to you for making me feel so special on my wedding day. Anyone searching for a designer look no further, I highly recommend Madeline
When I took my Mum’s ivory wedding sari with gold woven into it, to Madeline, to transform into my own updated wedding dress, I was quite nervous. I knew Madeline was hugely talented as I’d seen some of her work, but I really wanted my mum to love it too, but I was worrying about nothing- Madeline did the most stunning job, Making me a part of the design process, listening to and incorporating my ideas which I hoped would still reference my Indian roots. Mum loved it! I had also underestimated how much I would enjoy the process too- drinking mugs of tea in Mads’ bedroom, discussing ideas whilst her 2 gorgeous kids (pre-Blaise) kept coming in to have a look, so cute! Madeline is a humble genius who works magic. I will treasure my dress forever as I will the wonderful memories of making it together.
I cannot recommend Madeline enough she is a fantastic person to work with and I can’t thank her enough for making the wedding dress of my dreams. I came to her with a simple satin dress in the wrong size from a charity shop and three lace tablecloths, and she created an incredible one-off vintage style dress that fit me perfectly. I felt so special wearing it and everyone commented on how beautiful it was and how expensive it looked. Madeline‘s attention to detail and hard work shone through and she obviously takes pride in what she does. Not only that, she is so patient, full of ideas and creative flair and a joy to spend time with. Thank you Madeline for making my perfect wedding dress.
Madeline is amazing and wonderfully talented. She redesigned my wedding dress using my mothers dress from 1973. Madeline created a dress that was perfect for me, exactly what I wanted, it was like she knew what I was looking for without me even needing to say it. Fittings were always fun and relaxed and I was always able to add my own suggestions to the design, which Madeline matched exactly as I wanted l. Creating my daughter’s flower girl dress from the same material my mother married in was the icing on the cake. It made the wedding day even more special and meaningful. Madeline created my perfect wedding dress, with so much thought and time going into it to make it a wonderful and special dress I will treasure forever.
I had been to a few bridal boutiques before I met Madeline and didn’t feel the dresses or the experience was very me. Madeline took the time to get to know me, my style and the wedding day my husband and I were planning. I felt very involved in the process from shopping for fabrics together to creating accessories, like the handmade gloves and belt, and, when the dress was complete I was delighted. On the big day I felt beautiful, confident and extremely grateful to have found Madeline.
