What Made Our Day Unique
We wanted to spend as much time with our guests as possible, so when we found Edale Gathering which let you have the venue and rooms for the whole weekend, we knew that making a weekend of it would be perfect. It also takes the pressure off it being one perfect day, and we really wanted an informal friendly atmosphere. Catching up with everyone the night before, and sharing a hangover breakfast in the morning are some of my favourite moments.Farrah & Jonathan
Embroidered Bridesmaid Dress
We’re dying over these beautifully embroidered bridesmaid’s dresses from ASOS! With their short sleeves, flattering shape, and colourful floral embellishment, they were the perfect pick, working perfectly with the colour scheme of the day. There is definitely something about embroidery that just screams “I am expensive!”, when in reality, that really doesn’t have to be the case. You can find plenty of options online (that’ll be sure to come well within budget). With so many colours and silhouettes available, your girls will be sure to find something they love too.
Inspiration & Styling
We wanted it to be relaxed and informal- a big house party! Sharing plates for breakfast, serve-yourself beers, a Bake-Off table. It kept the day intimate and meant we had a nice moment with every guest. The venue itself was beautiful, so that did a lot of the talking. The details were chosen to reflect us as a couple. We love wine and cocktails, so filled favourite bottles with flowers. The bride is Mancunian so we had bee motifs everywhere. All stationery was designed by the groom, with tables named after beloved pubs (and a story about them on the placeholders!)Farah & Jonathan
Planning a wedding is one day, and quite frankly, it’s just not long enough! Farrah & Jonathan wanted to ensure they spent as much time as possible with their friends & family, and we think that’s beautiful. So, if you’re planning on keeping the party going, why not opt for a weekend wedding? Hey, if the drinks are still flowing…
